For the last few years the date of the commencement of the battle of Long Tan in South Vietnam has been recognised as Vietnam Memorial Day. On Saturday 18 August, the Braidwood RSL sub-branch will hold a short, informal service in the memorial garden on the corner of Rylie Park at 11am, to remember all those who seved and fell in South Vietnam, or who have subsequently passed away.
All Vietnam veterans in the district are warmly invited to attend and anyone else who wishes to remember is most welcome.
In the event of inclement weather, we will move to the Services Club.
