**Originally enlisted at age 14.5 years Dec 1916. Parents advised AIF he was underage (21 years old at the time) and he was sent home (already had frontline fighting experience and shock). He stowed away and re-enlisted again shortly after in 1918. Was found again and sent home. He re-enlisted for a third time 13/06/1919 at 17 years of age still saying he was 18.
